UbiCrypt Summer School - crypt@b-it 2014


The UbiCrypt Summer School "crypt@b-it" offers the opportunity for interested Postdocs, PhD and Master students to learn more about current research questions on cryptography and cryptoanalysis. In cooperation with the Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology we offer a diversed program with various talks and exercises.

 

The UbiCrypt Summer School takes place from July 28 - August 01, 2014 at the Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB). The Event is hosted by the Horst Görtz Institute for IT-Security (HGI), especially by the Chair for Cryptology & IT-Security.

 

We are delighted to announce this year's invited speakers:

  •   Gary McGuire (UCD Schol of Mathematical Sciences, Dublin) | Discrete Logs
  •   Hoeteck Wee (École normale supérieure Paris) | Functional Encryption

 

The registration fee will be 100 Euro. Refreshing beverages and a daily meal at lunch time are included.Furthermore, you will be able to participate in three social events (BBQ, city tour, excursion). Please note: The Summer School language is English.

 

Preparation material

 

All participants of the summer school are encouraged to install SAGE on their computers. As introduction the following texts are recommended by the speakers:
